Dr. Magnus Bengtsson

As Policy Lead at Hot or Cool, Magnus oversees the institute’s engagement, analysis, and advisory services related to public policy. He has over twenty years of experience as a policy researcher and consultant advising international organizations and governments on sustainable consumption and production and circular economy.

Magnus is also a lecturer at Toyo University in Tokyo, where he is based, and a sustainability advisor to Japanese corporations. In addition to a PhD in Environmental Systems Analysis from Chalmers University of Technology in his native Sweden, Magnus also holds degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management, and in History.
