Mainstreaming 1.5° lifestyles: finding and co-creating policy solutitons to create 1.5° supportive structures
The international recognition of the key role of lifestyles for environmental and social impacts brought the emergence of numerous initiatives working towards fair, equitable and sustainable societies.
The EU 1.5° Lifestyles project exists within this context, and seeks to collaborate with similar projects, organisations and initiatives towards common objectives. Moreover, the mainstreaming of sustainable, 1.5° lifestyles in line with climate targets requires a multi-level approach, and collaboration with varied actors is key to achieving societal transformation.
This is why the EU 1.5° Lifestyles project is committed to engaging policy makers across Europe — not only to disseminate insights from our research, but to provide a space for knowledge sharing and the co-creation of policy solutions at all levels from the local to the international.
In the context of our efforts to promote and mainstream 1.5° lifestyles, the Consortium is organising national policy events for policymakers on sustainable lifestyles in the 5 project case countries: Germany (29 January), Hungary (25 February), Latvia (31 January), Spain (19 February) and Sweden (August 2024).
