The international recognition of the key role of consumption and lifestyles for environmental and social impacts brought the emergence of numerous initiatives working towards fair, equitable and sustainable societies.

EU 1.5° Lifestyles exists within this context, and seeks to collaborate with similar projects towards common objectives. Moreover, the mainstreaming of sustainable lifestyles in line with climate targets requires a multi-level approach, and collaboration with varied actors is key to achieving societal transformation.

This is why the EU 1.5° Lifestyles project is committed to engaging stakeholders across Europe—not only to disseminate insights from our research, but to provide a space for knowledge sharing.
In the context of our efforts to promote and mainstream 1.5° lifestyles, the Consortium is organising an international event for policy makers and multi-stakeholders for similar EU-level initiatives working on sustainable lifestyles.
These projects will present their results providing a comprehensive picture of the research at the cutting edge of the shift to sustainable lifestyles. Building from this body of work, the workshop will provide guidance for policy makers, intermediaries and individuals on how lifestyle choices affect carbon footprints, as well as how political, economic and social contexts can be shaped to enable sustainable lifestyles options.
The outcomes of this EU-level event will be collected in a final report, available in Spring of 2025, that will support the design of future science-based discussions on systemic transformation towards sustainable societies.

Updates on projects and initiatives participating to this event will follow. Stay tuned!
