The Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS) took part in the Potsdam Environment Festival 2024 on 22 September to talk to citizens about climate protection and sustainability - and to play our climate puzzle.
The colourful programme at the Environment Festival attracted many interested people who were able to find out at the RIFS stand which everyday actions favour a life with the lowest possible CO2 emissions.
The climate puzzle shows how low-CO2 lifestyle options in four key areas - nutrition, mobility, housing and leisure - can be integrated into everyday life by 2030.
Many options were already known or have been implemented, others were surprising and opened up new perspectives. Especially in the area of housing, many people saw their options for action as limited, resulting in lively discussions about necessary structural changes in this and other areas.
