Dr Adina Dumitru is Director of the Sustainability Specialization Campus is a Distinguished “Beatriz Galindo” Researcher at the University of A Coruna. She is also a member of the GIPDAE research group. Her current teaching and research focus on the psychological determinants of healthy and sustainable lifestyles, the impact of nature-based solutions on social cohesion, empowerment and health, and psychological factors influencing acceptability and adoption of sustainable lifestyles and sustainability-related social innovations. She leads the development of an impact assessment reference framework for nature-based solutions in the H2020 Connecting Nature project and work on the identification of policy tools to drive social innovation in energy transitions in the H2020 SMARTEES Project. She was the scientific coordinator of the FP7 GLAMURS project, which takes a time-use perspective to identify the opportunities to live sustainably and experience higher wellbeing, and led work on the psychology of empowerment in the TRANSIT project. She coordinates the work on social indicators of the European Taskforce on Impact Assessment of nature-based solutions, and is an expert on Sustainable Urbanization of European Environment Agency.
