Inga Belousa, PhD, is a visiting researcher at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, a visiting professor of the faculty of Pedagogy, psychology and arts, Latvia University, and a project coordinator at the NGO Green Liberty. Inga has more than 20 years of experience in teacher education at Daugavpils University, University of Liepaja, Latvian Academy of Sports Pedagogy, University of Latvia. Since 2015 Inga coordinates EC EuropeAid projects and activities at the NGO Green Liberty to promote public awareness of responsible consumption, civic participation, global interconnections, and sustainable development. Inga Belousa is a member of the Academic Network on Global Education & Learning (ANGEL), the Bridge 47 network, and the Council of the Latvian Platform for Development Cooperation (LAPAS) where she coordinates global education partnerships. Her research interests are related to education for sustainable development, global education, qualitative research, responsible consumption, food waste reduction.

Inga’s 1.5-degree lifestyle options include limiting the use of cow milk, as the conventional milk production industry generates greenhouse gas emissions which contribute to climate change. When planning her menu, Inga replaces cow’s milk with plant milk, most often with oat milk.
