Marta Rey-Garcia
Tenured associate professor at the School of Economics and Business of the University of A Coruña (UDC), Spain. Since 2011 she is the director of the Inditex Sustainability Chair at the UDC and its graduate course in Sustainability and Social Innovation (CESIS). Her research interests focus on civil society organizations, sustainability, social innovation, and nonprofit marketing. She has participated in several national and international research projects (in some of them as the principal investigator), including the ITSSOIN Project on Social Innovation and Civic Engagement, European Commission, 7th Framework Program (2014-2017), which she was WP Coordinator; and supervised Ph.D. dissertations on those topics, the last one by Sofía García-Torres on “Unravelling traceability and transparency for sustainable apparel-fashion supply chains: a mixed-methods approach” (2021). She is one of the guarantors of the newly created Interuniversity Research Center in Economics and Business Administration for Society (ECOBAS). She obtained her Ph.D. at the Universidad Complutense, Madrid, where she also completed a B.A. in Communication Studies and a B.A. in Economics. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Columbia Business School, Columbia University, New York.
