We are delighted to share a sneak peek into our ongoing efforts as the EU 1.5° Lifestyle Project Team actively works on a FREE Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). This digital teaching format is a pivotal component of our project's dissemination strategy, aimed at reaching the public worldwide with the critical message of 1.5° lifestyles.

Currently under development in collaboration with Lund University, RIFS (formerly University of Münster) and all our project partners, our MOOC is taking shape to become a comprehensive educational resource. While we're still working on the content and filming, we want you to watch this space and spread the word!

The free MOOC course is planned as an integral part of our mission to create awareness about the urgent need for a societal transformation towards 1.5° lifestyles in the wider public. The MOOC will feature lectures from various disciplines, including those within our esteemed consortium. Our goal is to reach as many people as possible, raising awareness about the urgent need for societal transformation toward 1.5° lifestyles.

The course will be offered regularly by our collaborating universities for at least five years, with the objective of engaging at least 5,000 students.

What to look forward to:
  • Engaging lectures from various disciplines within our consortium.
  • Practical activities, including a carbon calculator for personal carbon footprints.
  • Real-world case studies showcasing individuals, initiatives, and cities embracing 1.5° living.
  • In-depth exploration of societal structures and policies necessary for transformative change.
